This review is for the "...Foldable Yoga Mat..."Brand: OHLYHEColor: Light brown + BeigePros+Folds: I have a couple of regular mats that roll up and I really liked these after I got a strap that allows me to carry it. After trying this foldable mat, I don't think I'll go back to the rolling ones because it's so much easier and quicker to pack this one up and this one doesn't roll up at the ends.+Multiple uses: I can fold this in a few different ways for other workout when the full mat isn't necessary.+Beautiful color: Love the neutral brown and beige which blend in with my home decor so it doesn't look so tacky when I have it out in my home.+Size and thickness: I'm tall (5'10") and full-figured, and this mat is the perfect length and width. Even with my legs stretched all the way (like I'm doing the splits...lol), I'm still all the way on the mat. The thickness is great as well and I was comfortable doing all the warm up exercises I typically do when I'm on the hard gym floor.+Quality: Mat is very well made. Looks, feels, and performs like a high quality item.Cons-Price: The mat is a little pricey to me. However, I understand that this is a longer, wider, foldable mat.-Cleaning: This mat is a little fussy to clean when I get I'm on it with sneakers at the gym. All that nasty gym dirt is harder to clean because the mat is very textured. I don't know if this is really a con because if most people use this in a yoga or pilates studio, this shouldn't be an issue.Overall I really, really like this mat. It's the perfect mix of size, comfort, and style.
This mat is a little thinner than the other I have from this same brand, so make sure to look into the thickness for your own useage. it is not a worse mat, just a little less cushion. I think this one works a little better on carpet than the thicker mat, and is more portable. The surface has a little stick to it, I appreciate this as a sweaty guy, I don't slide off of the mat in bare feet. The brown color is alright, not wonderful but it works. I think the folding is actually more convenient than the roll mats as they are easier to carry and store.overall, this mat works great!
As someone who exercises at home on days when I can't make it to the gym, I use exercise mats on a regular basis. I already had several of the traditional, thick rolled mats, which I like...but they take up a lot of space. So I was looking for a smaller, compact version..so when I saw the Onlyhe Foldable Yoga Mat, I was eager to give it a try. This mat seems durable and fairly good quality.. It grips the floor well, and doesn't slip around excessively. Because it folds, it takes up significantly less space that my larger rolling mats do, so is easily portable and good for travel. In addition to the compact size, I like the folding aspect, as I can use it folded to serve as a knee pad for when I'm doing weight exercises sitting on bent knees. Using the pad in its folded position gives my knees extra support and comfort that I don't get from the single layer of a yoga mat. That being said...this mat is very thin. While it works well folded, it's so thin that it's not my preferred mat to use for lying down on, because it's just not as thick and comfortable as my other mats. It's great for exercises using it folded...but falls short used unfolded. This could be a really great mat if it were thicker. But due to its thinness, I find it's usefulness to be somewhat limited, so I rate it 3 stars. I also find the price of $46.99 to be very high for such a thin mat.
In short, this is a reliable foldable mat from a brand I already trustI requested this yoga mat without any hesitation because I already have 3 different yoga mat models from this brand, including 2 foldable ones, and I have been very satisfied with all of them. This particular one is close to the one I have already been using, just in a different color, so I basically got this as a backup. I first got one of the foldable ones a while ago because I thought it would be easier to take care of after working out. The only thing that made me hesitate before getting the first one was that I thought the folding sections might feel uncomfortable while lying down or doing light cardio workouts, but surprisingly, they do not bother me at all. You just need to clean those areas a little more carefully, and that is it.This mat stays on the hardwood floor very well, and it also provides more cushion than it looks like it would from the thickness (if you want a different thickness, you should definitely go through their storefront to get one that meets your needs). I actually like their thicker yoga mat that provides perfect cushion for HIIT/dance workout. Because of its shape, it's actually more portable to take it with you in a large-sized carrier. It is also very durable. The material does not chip off easily like some other yoga mats I have used for dance workouts. Lastly, it looks quite pretty with nice colors :)By the way, I also bought the thick rolling yoga mat from this brand, and I love that one as well. :)I would highly recommend this, but I do think yoga mats depend a lot on personal preference and how you plan to use them.
I’ve been trying to add more yoga and floor exercises to my regular workout routine but since I don’t have a dedicated room for working out,I was looking for a yoga mat I could easily store away. This mat folds up to a fairly compact size and is very lightweight which makes it very easy to store and keep out of sight when I’m not using it. The mat is not very thick and I definitely can still feel the carpet under the mat when I have my full weight on my knees or arms while doing yoga. I don’t love that you can also feel the grooves in the mat where it folds up when you are doing full back exercises but it’s not overly uncomfortable. I think if foldability and weight are the most important to you, than this is a good yoga mat. However, if you are more concerned about comfort (especially if you are working out on a hard floor) then you might want to try a bit thicker and more traditional yoga mat.
